Details

Up for sale is a recent, Ibanez TMB-30 body. Original pickups, electronics, hardware is all included (except strap buttons) and all is working as it should! Protective lamination still on the pickguard. Neck pocket width is ~62mm(~2.44"). I used the neck from this bass for a Thunderbird parts bass, which turned out great, so this body is up for grabs.
The thing only to note is that before it came into my possession, the body took a hit (pictured in 3rd photo as well as I could capture it) where the finish cracked and flaked off, about half the size of a dime. Previous owner seems to have painted the exposed wood there with black glossy acrylic paint, so it wouldn't really stand out from more than a few feet away, just when the light hits it right.

$45 plus approximate shipping to your location. Payment via Paypal Family and Friends or Zelle preferred. CONUS deals only.

If you don't need the body itself, but want all the hardware and electronics, your shipping will of course be quite a bit cheaper, but the price will still be $45 before shipping. Still a lot of stuff for small money! Otherwise, not interested in parting this out for selling individual components.

Will consider trades... hipshot ultralite lic (or similar lightweight) 2x2 tuners, maybe a unique/interesting P-bass style split-coil format pickup, preamp on-board or pedal, reverb pedal, luthier-related tools, medium scale or short scale strings (mostly flatwounds or tapewounds), a nice 2-3 space rack case, 12" 4ohm speaker, 12ax7 (and related) preamp tubes, etc.

How hard would it be to get a neck for these basses? I’m for sure thinking about it!

A TMB neck may take some patience before one comes up for sale but other necks with a 62mm or 2 7/16" neck heel are not uncommon. 63.5mm or 2.5" is the Fender standard and could be sanded down to fit with a little elbow grease. Of course, if you put a different scale neck (or one with more or less frets) on this body, you may have to move the bridge location a bit to get the intonation spot on. I find it's a fun challenge/project and I've done it a few times myself. The homemade thunderbird body I fitted the TMB neck to was originally made with a 34" neck in mind, so I had to move the bridge forward a bit. Turned out to be an incredibly comfortable bass!
