For sale is a Yamaha BB1100S electric bass, made in Japan. According to the serial number, this bass was manufactured in 1984 (KZIH = 1984/12/21). For a bass approaching 40 years old, it's in fantastic condition.
The bass has a 43mm nut width (about 1 11/16") with a neck profile similar to that of a P bass.
From the front the bass looks great; the only real visible sign of wear is just under the neck joint (the "slap position" if you will). On the rear there are a few small marks as well as the usual buckle rash wear you see on basses. There's also some wear on the tip of the headstock, which is also expected from a bass of this age.
All of the electronics function just fine on this bass. Tone controls are active/passive with a 3 band EQ: volume, tone, bass, mid, treble, active/passive switch, and pickup selector switch.
The bass comes with its original hardshell case. The case has some wear on the outside, but no holes or any damage that would compromise its structural integrity. The interior of the case is overall in fantastic shape.
Would much prefer local pickup in the southern California area (I'm in OC), as I am selling this for someone I know and he is hesitant about wanting to ship the bass. Not really looking for any trades. Cash or Paypal only.
