I have a 1975 Gibson Grabber G3 that I bought for a project, but I have recently hung my days of playing in groups and in live situations and am thinning the herd of basses that were specific for those groups.
This is a 1975 Gibson Grabber G3 that was modded by the original owner since he replaced the clear pickups with a set of late 70's pickups to be all black Gibson G3. There is some back of the neck dings, but I have had those professional sanded down and fixed the best they could get, but it doesn't pose any issue to the playability or integrity of the bass at all. All of the wiring was cleaned and pots were lubed and serviced with no issue.
It does appear to have possibly had the headstock repainted, as there is a bit of ghosting on the headstock where the original Gibson was painted, but I couldn't really confirm with the original owner on that.
All in all the bass plays and sounds incredible and set up with D'Addario Nickel strings and with a fairly low action.
