Details

I am the second owner of this Fender Custom Shop ‘59 Precision. It has a beefy neck and is crazy resonant. The notes really project and the neck depth no doubt adds to the resonance as you feel it vibrate when you play.

This instrument is in excellent condition and, to my knowledge, has no dings or marks beyond the Journeyman relicing it came with. It is objectively the best built Precision I have ever played. It does best my 1968 Precision, but I am keeping that for sentimental reasons. The only reason I am letting this one go is I am looking for a more modern sounding Precision with a maple board to contrast my ‘68.

I love that color, chocolate 3-tone sunburst.

But, isn't that more of a mid-to-late 70's color used mostly on ash bodies?

You know, that stark yellow/red/deep brown almost black sunburst?

I've always loved that finish. I didn't know they had that in 1959 though.

Gorgeous. Oval C neck....far from chunky..wide and thin. These are my fav necks. GLWTS..its amazing

Thanks so much! Just to be clear for everyone, this neck is definitely a little bit thicker than the standard FCS '60s style Oval C style neck. (I think they tend to leave a little more wood on the neck profile when doing a late '50s style.). It is an amazing neck.
