Well met Lords of Low End,

Hot Carl with another episode of Basses in Carl's Cozy Corner. This is a truly rad mash up of parts I put together not too long ago. The body is a USACG Precision Body in a Shoreline Gold Nitro finish loaded with the Thunderbucker Ranch boutique 66n pickup. Essentially an improved thunderbird pickup that is no longer in production. To finish it off it has a 2019 Fender American Professional P neck with a drop tuner. It plays like butter. I also installed Dunlop strap locks.

This bass frickin snorts with the settings dimed, but it mellows off nicely when you roll off the tone and volume. it comes in between 7.8 and 8lbs on my crappy bathroom scale. It's extremely light for those long gigs. I just took it for a 2+ hour spin and my back was plenty pleased after.

It has one small blemish in the finish on the back and few small dings on the bottom of the body. None can be seen from the front.

I have one fender hard case and I'm selling two Frankenfenders. So whichever bass sells first gets the case.

$1000 shipped. PayPal preferred.

That is my old loaded body.... I put it together. It's fun. I was only downsizing the collection.

Whoever the buyer is, I am ready to let go of the matching headstock warmoth neck with it. They haven't been separated long so they should be fine.

You know, I typically don't like gold/champagne colors, white pick guards, or gold hardware on basses. But for some reason, this combination looks mighty sharp. GLWS!

you're a madman, super cool build. GLWTS!

You're too kind! I'm actually considering keeping it because it's not getting tons of traction. I was thinking of adding a second pickup near the bridge and putting a thin layer of black paint over the gold so it shows through as it gets worn in.

Where'd you get the pickguard?
