I am selling my 2016 Sago Classic P/J bass in sage green. Sago is a very small boutique builder located in Osaka Japan that offers this wonderful bass with a few unique features. It has an Alder body with a thin nitro finish, a 22 fret Honduran rosewood fretboard, lightweight Gotoh tuners, and a Hipshot B style lightweight bridge. It’s a 34” scale and weighs in at a light 8 lbs 2 oz.
The proprietary Thermowood neck is similar to roasted, but with a smoother tone. The 1.5 inch width at the nut coupled with a 9.5 inch radius makes it a joy to play. The pickups are Nordstrand NP4/NJ4 which give it a full Rich tone with plenty of huge bottom and a smooth top.
The controls are master volume, master blend( with a center detent)and master tone which make it extremely versatile in any playing situation. You get the best of both worlds with this P/J combination.
