This is an extremely rare Stingray Classic 5 that came from the factory with an active/passive switch. This was a limited run done for Guitar Center. I believe only about 200 were made worldwide. There is a passive tone pot that is push/pull. When down, the 2-band preamp is active. When up, the preamp is bypassed and the tone pot is active.
This bass has been played, so there are some light scratches and dings. However, the bass still looks stunning, especially the gloss birdseye maple neck. The bass plays amazingly with very low action. It is string with Cobalt Flatwounds and the sound is quintessential early Stingray. Weight is 11 lbs. OHSC is included.
