Acquired from a former music store owner, this bass was hanging on a store display for years, virtually unplayed. When this store went out of business, he brought home a few instruments, this being one, in hopes his children would gravitate towards music, he says that never happened.
This 2011 Overwater by Tanglewood bass is nearly new, untouched & barely played. No scratches, dents, or dings. Dark finish has wonderful stage presence while still showing very intricate wood grain patterns on front cap and 2 piece body -
Flame maple cap on ash body, maple neck and fretboard, Abalone inlays, matching headstock.
Overwater pickups, Overwater 2 band preamp, original battery with Asian dialect (didn't stop to identify) that came with the bass, was removed and thrown out, and replaced with a new battery.
Controls are volume with push pull, pickup blend, treble boost/cut & bass boost/cut.
Will include inexpensive gigbag with full purchase price.
