For sale

98 SWR Grand Prix pre amp in a “soft” 3 rack space rack. Room for a 2 rack space amp.
Great condition for a 26 or 27 year old piece of equipment. Missing the top knob of one of the coencentric knobs, but the knob is fully functional, not damaged.

Possible trades if you’re close-
4 ohm Mesa Boogie speaker cabs, a killer P bass loaded body, or try me with whatever.

$325 shipped in the continental United States.

I have the green face version of this pre and it sounds fantastic! Nice tube warmth with super clean clarity and the Aural Enhancer adds additional fullness and body to the overall sound. This one seems to be in great shape, and they rarely show up for sale. Someone will be very pleased. GLWTS!

Thank you! I feel like people forget how amazing SWR equipment is/was. I had an SM900
that is still one of the best amps I’ve ever had, sadly sold it for almost nothing as I was only playing through a combo amp and wasn’t playing bigger gigs at the time…

Prior to being acquired by Fender in 2003, SWR was hard to beat. I use my Grand Prix pre with an SWR 800 Stereo power amp, and it sounds full and robust no matter which bass I plug into it. Active, passive, they all sound great! I've bought and sold a lot of gear over the years, but these are a couple of pieces I'll probably take to the grave, LOL!
