Alan Cringean's workmanship is exquisite. They are an absolute bargain at going prices. The photos don't do it justice, especially the rich cherry body and the matching deep purple heart in the stringers and at the base of the neck and back of the headstock.
This bass is in excellent ++ condition without a scratch. It was just given a check-up by a skilled local luthier and is all good.
I'm not interested in trades; only selling because the stable got too full with a new 5-string. Thanks.

I'll mention the Dual Filter Modular pre-amp. This provides very fine scale tone shaping in all the sweet spots, but takes some getting used to compared to the usual bass, mid, treble pots of most bass guitars. Here goes:
Knobs:

• Stack one: Volume/Blend.
• Stack two: Low-pass filter for the neck pickup plus push/pull switch to activate the low mid boost. The lower ring is the filter frequency, with 41 detents. The upper ring is the overshoot peak level.
• Stack three: Low-pass filter for the bridge pickup plus push/pull switch to activate the upper mid boost or Attack Boost. The lower ring is the filter frequency, with 41 detents. The upper ring is the overshoot peak level.
• Stack four: Sweepable mid/treble.
