Need a 70s Acoustic dream rig? Here it is. Phenomenal, thunderous stack built in Van Nuys, CA.
Solid state 320 head puts out 365W into 2 ohms and is in near-mint condition. The two channels can be blended together for complex tonal variation. Each channel has a bright switch, volume and bass, mid and treble controls. Also: 5-band graphic EQ (70-2000 Hz) and a power boost circuit. Comes with OEM footswitch to control channel selection and graphic EQ on/off. The only known modification was the addition of a 3 prong cable for safety. Comes with custom-fit Tuki cover.
The 301 cabinet is a 1x18” folded horn enclosure that handles 300 W at 4 ohms. It is in mint condition and was refurbished and upgraded a few years ago by Don at Low Down Sound. This included new Duratex covering and reconing the stock Cerwin-Vega full-range driver using an original recone kit. The stock 301 is known as projecting tremendous bass far into the audience, but sounding muddy on stage. Don addressed this by adding a 4-driver midrange array and a bullet tweeter (with attenuator control). These added drivers run off a separate jack from the main 18”, so they are easily connected by running a second cable from the amp. The cab has recesses for the feet of the 320 head so it sits securely in position. Dimensions on the cab are: 48.5 x 24.5” x 18”, 135 lbs. It has a heavy-duty tilt-back arrangement to haul it around.
I prefer local pickup, but am willing to drive the rig within 2 hours of Monterey (e.g., the SF Bay Area or down to SLO). I can also deliver to a FedEx or UPS office, but the buyer would be responsible for the packaging and shipping from there. Sorry, no trade interests.
NB: An Acoustic 370 head was initially also offered, but has been sold.
