Purchased this Awesome Bass 8/19/2014 from a great TB’er. This is what was listed in the listing when I purchased it:
(This is a USA-made Peavey Millennium Plus prototype. Jazz-width with nice chunkiness to its profile. Gorgeous Birdseye maple neck and board, abalone dot inlays. Root-beer brown/orange flame maple top over alder. Some minor finish-only cracking in clear coat on the headstock - totally stable. Otherwise in excellent shape. Black hardware, Hipshot D-tuner.)

Peavey Millennium Plus 4 in Root-beer brown/orange flame maple top over alder and it has a Birdseye maple neck with abalone dot markers and is in great shape. The bass is in the same condition as when I received it. Some minor finish-only cracking in clear coat on the headstock - totally stable (photos included to show the cracking). I have had no tuning problems or any other problems since owning this awesome bass. This bad boy also has Bartolini pickups and a Bartolini preamp installed and tone and sound of this monster is awesome. The Bartolini setup really improved the sound and tone I had this done on all of my Millennium Basses. The reason I am selling her is I am getting older and need to cut down the collection. Comes with the original hard-shell case but has some mild wear and tear but is in good condition. Here is some more info:

*Solid alder body w/ killer flame maple top
*Graphite-reinforced Birdseye maple neck fingerboard 8" radius. 35" scale w/21 frets.
*Hipshot Low Mass Tuners with D-Tuner.
*Quadra Just Bridge, string through or top load design.
*Original Peavey hard case included.
*Weight of the bass is 8lbs 4oz give or take
*Bartolini HR-5.2AP/918 with Bartolini Pickups

Here is a link for the Bartolini preamp: HR-5.2AP/918 | Bartolini Pickups and Electronics
Here is a link to the user manual from Peavey be advise the pickups and preamp were upgraded to Bartolini: Millennium4_5PlusEnglish.pdf

These are “sleeper” basses - great quality that many people don’t know about. It’s basically Peavey’s take on a Lakland. I played one when they first came out and was very impressed.
I'm almost sure I've heard of it being the other way around, ie., the Lakland (55-94/95?) was their take on the Peavey Millennium. I could be wrong though.
