This Fullerton USA G&L Kiloton 5 in excellent condition adds the fat, harmonically rich tone of a Nordstrand BigRig neck pickup to the punch and definition of the G&L MFD bridge pickup. The VVT controls provide independent volumes for each pickup which allow the pickups to be blended or soloed, expanding the tonal palette and making this instrument quite versatile. Turning the upper BigRig volume off leaves the original single pickup sound. The mode switch selects parallel, series, or single coil mode for the MFD pickup. The passive tone is common to both pickups and affects whatever is turned up. Tonally, the BigRig and MFD pickups blend very well with each other. The modification was professionally done and documented in the G&L Talkbass thread. No trade interest.
