In comparison, in a store a Christopher B204 bass is selling new for $2,600 - with 'cheap' strings and No accessories.

You could own this bass for far less bread, and enjoy the feel and sound of its 'expensive' Evah Pirazzi strings, plus all the other extras a store charges extra for.
These extras amount to $1,200 in value.
Everything you'd want in a bass that's suitable for classical, jazz, bluegrass, rockabilly, folk...at a price that's fair and firm.

Thanks, Mr. Matt.
I appreciate your support of the ad, even though your particular situation is settled.
It's an 'interim' bass that will become unnecessary once my other bass is repaired. The hope is to sell this Christopher in order to pay for the repairs that are (hopefully) being addressed currently.
Selling a bass can be easy if the bass and gear are appealing, the price is fair and the timing is right. Maybe there are parents who want Junior to have his/her own bass and get comfortable with it over the summer. He (or she) could then keep this bass at home and try to cope with a school bass. Honestly, though this has been described as an 'entry-level' bass, it is fully capable of serving as a working instrument. Once an upright is amplified, if it's well set up it often sounds indistinguishable from pricier basses.
Anyway, thanks again for chiming in. Hopefully your kind remarks will help sway someone to give little Chris a new home.
Keep swinging...

this is the same bass that I use. It’s a stellar instrument. Far out kicks its coverage for a laminate and in this price range.

Here’s a clip of me playing mine,

No connection to the seller…but can vouch it’s a great bass.

Nice playing!
In the gear-head tradition of TB'ers everywhere:
What strings, pickup and amp are you using?
Thank you for your unsolicited 'endorsement' of the Christopher.
Maybe I shouldn't be so ready to let her go...
