Gibson Non-Reverse Thunderbird (2013) in Pelham Blue. Purchased used by me in 2018 from Reverb.
I had a professional make several modifications to the instrument during my time owning it. They installed Dunlop Dual Design strap locks - the original strap buttons are unfortunately lost. Second, they replaced the original pickups with Lollar Thunderbird pickups, the original pickups will be placed in the case. And lastly the Gibson 3-point bridge was replaced with a Hipshot Supertone bridge, the original bridge is lost. I find these hardware modifications to be vast improvements over the originals, and I believe that the matter of the original bridge and strap buttons missing is resolved by the inclusion of the Lollar pickups and Hipshot bridge. I have considered the cost of the Lollars and Hipshot, and have adjusted the price accordingly.
The Lollar pickups sound incredible and the passive electronics work perfectly. The neck is straight and comfortable, and the bass is set up with a low action. There are slight imperfections in the finish around the fret markers on the side of the neck. Apparently the previous owner placed stickers on the fret markers for some reason and when taken off, they pulled a bit of paint with them. The marks are only visible to the player, and even then are incredibly small. Photos provided upon request.
This bass was setup and inspected at the time of this listing by a local professional. I can provide his website address to potential buyers to check out his credentials.

The instrument comes in the original hardshell case. As mentioned, the original pickups will be included in the case. Also includes “owner’s manual” and certificate with production date and serial number. The instrument is currently strung with Thomastik-Infield Jazz flats that are well-broken-in (installed at the time of my purchase in 2018).
My only trade interests at this time are high-quality short scale basses of the same value as the Thunderbird. However, I am interested in high-quality cabinets, and in the market for a lightweight 1x12 so a “plus cash” deal with the right cabinet(s) is possible.
I am happy to discuss a potential purchase with anyone interested in the instrument. I do not mind providing additional photos at the potential buyer’s request, and I’m totally open to answer any questions they may have.
