Here's a pristine example of the pinnacle of Pedulla's vision for the J bass. Near-mint closet queen, just some swirling on pickguard. Neck is straight, frets and hardware in great shape.
Playability is ridiculous - the action can be practically floating on the frets, yet little-to-no buzz. The notes just pop out of the (gorgeous birdseye maple) fretboard. I don't know how he did it.
