Sure. The ramp can be used as extension of the fingerboard. It's built extremely precise so it's no problem!

Btw. This bass has been prepared to fit active electronics. Thats the reason for the "big" control cavity.

Unfortunately I don't have any soundclips of this bass. But I would describe the sounds as warm, fat with a beautiful blossoming attack. Think Richard Bona and you'll get the idea.


If wanted, I can get Morch to fit pre-amp, piezo etc. in this bass before shipping. Of course for an additional charge.

Well the thing is that I'm very interested in the bass, but I'm not sure I can buy it without having heard it.

Anyway, would you be interested in a trade for a Moon 5-string? It's one of the Larry Graham type ones, serial 002! :]

i have a morch (in avatar) i think mikkel-s was the original owner of the bass i have. i absolutely LOVE my morch and have played several other morch's and think that as far as clarity goes, you can't beat a morch without getting a graphite neck bass. morch's custom pickups and electronics are super powerful and give you ultimate tone shaping power.

Thanks Evan!.. And yes I was actually the original owner of your bass. It was a wonderful bass but 36" scale is a big handfull!..

The first thing I saw when I saw this thread was that I heard Evan play with it, and I really think it kicks butt. Of course his rig has more electronics than the inside of a fighter jet, but its still his Morch coming through. Great stuff!

but with so many gadgets and gizmos, it is extremely important to have a very clear signal passing through them. before getting the morch, i was using a modulus for it's clarity.

a few years back i was working for a high end bass shop in nyc which never got its feet off the ground and we specialized in european instruments and the high end hand-made market. we carried basses from all over the world and my favorite instrument hands down was the morch. we had a few of them in-house. i'll never forget the day that the first one came in. at that point my favs were marleaux, lefay, leduc...and i plugged in the morch, played it a bit and immediately said "this is the best bass in this shop."

i really love the 36" scale on my bass. sure, the higher register on the higher strings is very sharp, but the added scale length helps out the floppy B string. the B is still a bit floppy, but i've found that certain strings help minimize this problem.
