Bee Basses 9-String

- KneeBee Bodystyle
- Bolt-On
- Shortscale
- Fanned Frets 33" - 29"
- Tuned F#-Bb (can be tuned to B-Eb as well)
- Crazy Acrylicized Bubinga Fretboard
- Limba Body
- Bloodwood, Ziricote, Maple laminate Neck
- Ziricote/ Limba Headstock
- 15m Spacing at the Bridge
- Hipshot Tuners
- Chrome Hardware
- Custom Bubinga/Limba THG Knobs
- Bee Pre
- Nordstrand MM-Style Pickup w/ Bubinga Cover

This bass is practically brand new and has never been gigged. Because of the tighter spacing and shortscale, this would be a excellent extended range bass for someone with smaller hands. The tone is great and I love the bass, but I'm playing mostly the 12 and 11s now and the 9s are just collecting dust. With the upgrades, this bass would be $4400 direct from Fred.

Price is $3200. Sorry, no trades. Shipping in the US will be about $45.

THIS BASS IS SOLD NOW. THANKS GUYS!

Oy! Does "sorry, no trades" really mean "hey Bryan, give me a painting and I'll send you this bass"? :D

Damn, if only it was a 10 stringer :p

I don't know how you guys play these massive multi-stringed basses with no fretboard dots. Just looks like a sea of strings to me... Makes my head hurt just thinkin' about it.

Might need hand extensions to hit the low... uh, is it a B? on this bass as well...

Sure is cool to look at though. I gotta check out you tube for video on ERB players, think I'm friends with a couple guys on MySpace as well who use 'em... 6 is about where I top out, though.

So here's a bump for an awesomely unique bass!

thanks for the comments/bumps guys.

it's a zero fret and the end of the fretboard acts as a nut. Might be the angle of the pic, the strings are on it straight.

Thanks for the offer Bryan! I think I'll stick with $ for now! :)

Elros - I'm using this to fund CD duplication, shirts and my book. But, who knows what kind of basses will be coming in the future? :ninja:

Oh, and I forgot to mention it comes with a gig bag too.

I have been kicking myself for not having catched this thread when the bass was available. I am speechless as the scale(s) and spacings seem just what my doctor ordered.
