Details

The opportunity to get a six-string Elrick I've wanted for years has come up, so I've gotta sell one of my four-strings, so I'm putting this one out there as well. This is a really cool bass.

Specs:
33" scale
Ziricote top with sapwood
Walnut body and tone block
Black (wenge?) veneers
Wenge neck
Lined macassar ebony board
Radiused ebony ramp
Bartolini soapbars
Bartolini NTMB preamp
Hipshot Xtenders on each tuning peg

This bass sounds, looks, and plays fantastic- lots of sound/video clips of it on my music page as well as one or two on YouTube. It's in excellent condition- there are two tiny dings on the bottom butt of the bass, and two very thin superfluous surface cracks along the top- one near the controls and one on the lower horn. They follow the grain of the ziricote, so they're not really visible at all.

String spacing is 19mm- it's a Hipshot A so it can be adjusted down to 18mm (as I currently have it), nut width is 1.75", and the neck shape is a flattened oval. Very fast.

WHAT?!?!?!?!

I never thought I'd see the day.

DON'T DO IT! That bass is amazing. It convinced me to use Ziricote on mine.

however if I had the scratch I'd be all over it

Good luck w/ the sale and w/ the new sixer

I've been drooling over this bass for months. If I wasn't having a fretless 4 made, this would be the one. Good luck with the sale.

:D Not crazy, but I do need to sell one or the other. Basses, except for my singlecut 5, aren't sentimental to me, so if this sells, I know I can always have a similar one made in the future.

What fretless 4 Nicky?

Bump for a nice bass. What were yout thinking when you wanted 4 xtenders on it?

I was thinking MANRING!!! ;) I switch between different tunings on it for certain pieces....I keep it strung normally as EADA, and often switch to DADA, EADG, DGDG, etc.

Haha.. i feel faint... :p how do i play in all that alternate tunings?
I always wonder how Manring remembers his tuning for all his songs.

It's a nightmare! Good luck with the sale.
