MIM Fretless Neck (converted) - I SWEAR I didn't do this!!!
I got this as an advertised "fretless", not realizing that it was a home defret job. So I pulled the neck off, darkened all of the putty lines, stained it with walnut stain and treated it with tung oil. (I was going to dye it black with Fiebings, but I never got around to it!) No issues, good truss rod, very straight.
I removed the original string tree and replaced it with the "bar" type string tree (hence the extra screw holes).
This was a pretty bad hack job, I won't lie (I didn't notice when I bought it as I was so excited to get me a fretless! ) ! But the neck is perfectly usable and there are no issues other than the cosmetic stuff...
I think it would be a good spare neck, good for somebody who wants to try fretless out for cheap, or a good project if you're thinking of trying an epoxy job!
$50.00 + shipping. Paypal preferred.
Thanx!!!
