Details

Up for sale is a Trace V-Type Preamp.
Unit is in great shape. Almost no rack rash at all.

The gain knob, however, does have a smallish gouge near the rear - as if somebody removed it with a screwdriver when the set screw wasn't loosened all the way. This is very minor, but I'm all about full disclosure. ;)

Price is $350 firm shipped to the lower 48.
Paypal and USPS Money Order only.

Thanks!

-Mike

Saturday Trace Goodness Alembic F1X-Similarness Valve-O-Rama Bumpage.

I love my V-Type too.... FYI to all interested: the reason I'm selling this is to purchase a Markbass head to use as a preamp/backup to my IP112 (and soon, the added EX112) rig.

With the F1 (or LMII) as a preamp/backup, the V-Type is a bit redundant.

Aaaaannddd.... since I'm not Tom Bowlus, I have to actually sell this one to fund the next! :D

Hey, I'll give this one a bump! The Trace Elliot V-Type pre is one of my favorite 'rock' preamps, though it's really more versatile than just rock. Though similar in layout to an F-1X, the lows and low mids are more aggressive and powerful.

Killer pre!

Dang! I've been looking for one of these for some time now. Quite the rare bird.
"Sadly", I just bought an Aggie DB728, so I doubt I can afford it.
Hmm...
Does anyone know if I can get close to Trace Elliot V8-sounds with a teamup of the Trace V-type pre amd the DB728?
Mr Bowlus? You should know, I bet you've already tried.

Somewhat to even my own surprise, I have not tried this combination yet. I definitely think it would be a winner, though. :bassist:

I'll buy it and try it with my Demeter VTHF-300M and let you know.

But someone will need to lend me a V8 cos I've never heard one. :D
