I always swore this bass would go to my grave with me but I have to be honest and accept it hasn't seen a gig in over a year. This is the Ferrari of fretless basses and has 'the' tone.

The bass is neck through with a deep scoop. I bought it from the original owner. It has an aluminum bridge saddle and a custom Fralin pickup in the bridge. According to the owner, both were installed by Nic Tung though I've never confirmed that. The bass also has a boost only preamp in it, flat 20-20k and 18v. Thick ebony board, maple neck, swamp ash body.

In regular light, the finish looks black, but in bright direct light you can see it is a translucent green. The pictures below may look like two different basses, but they are the same in different light. $2,250 including a Levy's double gigbag. Ground shipping in CONUS included. Shipping elsewhere at cost.

I bought the bass used in 2002. Most likely, it was made around 2000 or earlier. I have yet to find a serial number. There are the usual superficial scratches and *very* light wear on the fingerboard. If you get the bass in the right light, you can see the deep green color. Most of the time it appears closer to black. This bass is as close to as-new as one can get with a bass 8-10 years old.

Oh man... you live pretty darn close to me! Good thing I don't have the cash right now, or I'd be in trouble. :D bump for a local guy and an amazing bass!

One more bump.

Further price drop and I'll include ground shipping in the CONUS.

The market must really be tanking right now!

The market is sluggish but this is a specialty bass requiring patience to sell. ;) I am certain that it will find a new home.

I've just been so impressed with the BN6 I bought from Brad Johnson at the first of the year. I can hardly pick up another bass to relax with with it's so easy to play and the tone is just out of this world. George Furlinetto really builds fabulous basses and this is a stunning example.

Bump!

Are you kidding me?! That's GORGEOUS!

... and me loving the play on those basses, and in need of a non-upright to finish my album...

Get in touch please - there was a mention of a price reduction but not what it was reduced to... (unless I just missed it in the sea of awe and admiration directed towards that instrument).

Can reach me directly at [email protected] or myspace.com/seanericharris.

Grazie.
