Hey Y'all,

I've been trying out the new microheads and while I love the size, weight, power and cost I've not found one where I love the tone. I keep falling back on my "old" Carvin BX1200 - a lot heavier than I'd like to cart around but at 22 lbs sans case not really that heavy. Today's gig was the kicker - I took both the LMII and the BX1200 and just was much happier with the BX1200 (what can I say - different strokes for different folks). Maybe the GK micro will float my boat (I doubt it as the 1001RB I tried a few years ago didn't do anything for me).

Soooo the LMII is on the trading block. I bought it new back in June or so. Original packaging, like new condition, etc. You know what it is - great clear tone, 300/500W at 8/4 Ohms, ~6.5? lbs, vintage loudspeaker emulator and variable preshape filter (mid-scoop) controls, 4 band eq, etc.

Things that would interest me:

- Yamaha BBT-500H
- maybe a Carvin B800 (I just sold one of these, too)
- other lightweight (15lbs or less), decent powered (200+W at 8 Ohms) good sounding heads (no GB Shuttle, GK RB, Ashdown Superfly)

- US G&Ls with 1.5" nut width fretted or fretless (no ASAT, Climax or L-1500)
- Carvin A4
- Fender FMT
- Reverend Rumblefish 4
- Lakland Skyline Hollowbody

- Acme Low B1 series 2

Let me know what you've got and what you are thinking . . .

Hey Craig! Just a little note, you have this in the wrong forum. In any case, best of luck. Looking for another BBT-500H again???? :p I went through a few of them myself. I really dug them too, but I always found situations where I needed more power. Again, best of luck man! :D

I know it's not on your list, but I have a Carvin BX1200 I'd trade for a LMII. Not quite a year old, master has never gone past 5 (12 o'clock), never left the house and has been in a smoke free environment.

A BX1200 is my main/big amp and the one I'm ending up taking to every gig. That's why I'm thinking about letting the LMII go - because the BX1200 has everything I want except the 6.5lb weight.

Yep, the reason all my previous BBTs left was that they weren't enough power for everything. But my BX1200 has more power than I'll ever need so a BBT might be a nice addition for an easier haul when I don't need all the watts (the LMII is filling that role now but I liked the BBT tone(s) better).

Yeah, it's a great amp. Just too much amp for me. I'm not gigging and I'd like a smaller second rig.

Not really wanting to sell this amp? I just got so tired of being second in line for so long time :(

I think he wants to trade you money for your amp, since he was second in line on other previous sales, and he wants a LMII REALLY BAD.

Ahhh, got it (thanks for the help).

At this point I'm not putting it up for direct sale. When I either find a Yamaha BBT-500H or after my new lightweight/small cab arrives in a few weeks I'll probably move from looking for a trade to looking for cash.

Okey dokey - I may have a line on my "replacement lightweight rig" so I'm ready to "trade it for cash" (or paypal balance).

The going rate seems to be $500 shipped CONUS so I'll play along

*** SOLD ***

If anybody has a BBT-500H they aren't using drop me a line - it looks to be the missing piece from my new-look lightweight rig
