Hey Y'all,
I've been trying out the new microheads and while I love the size, weight, power and cost I've not found one where I love the tone. I keep falling back on my "old" Carvin BX1200 - a lot heavier than I'd like to cart around but at 22 lbs sans case not really that heavy. Today's gig was the kicker - I took both the LMII and the BX1200 and just was much happier with the BX1200 (what can I say - different strokes for different folks). Maybe the GK micro will float my boat (I doubt it as the 1001RB I tried a few years ago didn't do anything for me).
Soooo the LMII is on the trading block. I bought it new back in June or so. Original packaging, like new condition, etc. You know what it is - great clear tone, 300/500W at 8/4 Ohms, ~6.5? lbs, vintage loudspeaker emulator and variable preshape filter (mid-scoop) controls, 4 band eq, etc.
Things that would interest me:
- Yamaha BBT-500H
- maybe a Carvin B800 (I just sold one of these, too)
- other lightweight (15lbs or less), decent powered (200+W at 8 Ohms) good sounding heads (no GB Shuttle, GK RB, Ashdown Superfly)
- US G&Ls with 1.5" nut width fretted or fretless (no ASAT, Climax or L-1500)
- Carvin A4
- Fender FMT
- Reverend Rumblefish 4
- Lakland Skyline Hollowbody
- Acme Low B1 series 2
Let me know what you've got and what you are thinking . . .
