Here's a solid classic.

Made in Mexico Fender Standard Jazz Bass. Nice and sturdy, a bit heavy, probably made of ash but I'm not sure. Rock solid construction. Black with white pickguard, nice rosewood fretboard. Serial # MN8147331 (1998.) Passive.

Overall very good condition. A couple small dimples on the back of the neck, slight pickup casing wear. A few other random small dings but overall very clean. The neck has this excellent grain to the wood, even up to the headstock. It's really cool how you can see all the wood grain clearly in the headstock (see headstock pic).

I got this from a guy who didn't play it too much. Today I cleaned it up with some guitar finish cleaner and lemon oiled the fretboard. Put brand new gauge 50-110 Rotosounds on her. My guitar player did a setup and the action is low and the bass plays very easily. Sounds great.. new strings are bright, of course, but once those deaden up a bit you'll be good to go.

Sorry, no case, but I'll pack her well. It will come in a Musician's Friend gig bag. Ratty but functional enough to add protection during shipping and get it from point A to point B. Paypal, check, or money order is fine. 48 CONUS only.

Let's say $275 shipped. The only things I am interested in trading for are a 4 string Carvin w/ abalone blocks or a ("newer" 9v model) EHX Bass Microsynth. I'd also consider a good fat fuzz/distortion that doesn't lose low end... the only that have impressed me so far were the Fulltone Mosfet Bass-Drive and the Frantone Lo Fuzz. +/- cash where applicable, etc.

Pics at Photobucket are HUGE are a little blurry, but here ya go:

Are you open to trades? I've got a Traben Neo 4 that I'm trying to move.

EDIT: Never mind, doesn't look like you would want this beauty...

Yeah, sorry, I don't need any more basses at the moment other than the Carvin mentioned in my original thread. I would possibly consider some sort of trade deal involving an EHX Bass Microsynth.

The pics are linked in the original thread but I just realized it may not be very obvious. I'll edit so that they are visible in the thread.

Good solid jazz bass. Plays and sounds great. I have a USA Jazz already but I am continually impressed by the quality of the MIM instruments.
