This is a killer bass, but I just haven't had the time to practice fretless enough lately and am kinda gassing for a fretted Jazz. Super fast neck, low action, and incredibly light weight... It is in near perfect condition minus some light roundwound wear on the fingerboard. The pickups have been upgraded to Bartolini 9J1s, and I added an Audere Jazz JZ3 preamp (volume, blend, mid, treble, bass, z mode switch). I also have an older brass Badass II bridge I could throw in for the right deal.

Looking for a quick sale at $375 or best offer shipped with the upgrades (I paid around $220 for the preamp and pickups alone!) or $235 or best offer shipped with the original pickups and passive control plate reinstalled. I also have an older Fender molded hardcase I can throw in for an extra $40 or so.

As far as trades, I'm looking for fretted Jazz basses, preferably 60s pickup placement (though not neccesary)- especially old Japanese Lawsuit-type Jazzes (70s Ibanez= :bassist:), or possibly fretted G&Ls/Tributes. I can add cash for the right deal...

Thanks,
Karl

Portland ain't too big on natural light this time o' year...

I prefer Miller Lite myself .... and Sammies this time o' year. :p

Man ... I wish this bass came along a couple of weeks from now! It's exactly what I was thinking about doing (when I get a SVMF).

Nice one! I think "we" actually prefer micro-brews out here in weird-land .

Got anything to trade? I likes me some frets somethin' fierce...

I'm fairly sure that Squire and Fender necks/bodies ARE NOT interchangeable, which is why you never see parts basses on here consisting of mixes of the 2. I could be wrong in this assumption... And finding another Squire neck sans body is probably at least as hard as finding a buyer/trader for the whole bass...

Karl

you consider just buying a fretted neck for that one?

actually they are interchangable, i had a vm fretted that i put a fender fretless neck on,it was a perfect fit. you could put a warmoth neck on there too.

This bass must sound fantastic. If I didn't just splurge on a Manu Katche Hip Gig set for the kids, I'd get this for myself!!

Hello,

Any photograph of the old Fender molded hardcase you could include ? A little "plus" that might be interesting for me...

Are you ok with an international shipping ?
