For sale: BBE BMax preamp w/ built-in compressor and sonic maximizer. The EQ section is boost/cut on the treble and bass but cut-only on the mids, but it also has a semi-parametric control for boosting and cutting of mids. The switchable compressor is very gentle and switchable sonic maximizer can provide some extra oomph and sparkle if you want it. I received compliments from many a soundman while using this pre - you will not be disappointed. Rack kept for as long as I've owned it. See the pic below:
