Details

German handmade in early '90s (from the good old Esh golden era). Swamp ash body, fretless with fret lines, ABM piezo pickup bridge, Bartolini JJ pickup config, Esh preamp system. It sounds and plays awesome with sustain, meat and growl to spare... getting a great variety of sounds out of it. Cosmetic flaws: some little scratches around the instrument as usual, one small ding in the back of the body, and a little wear in the fingerboard (previous owner used rounds for a while) that doesn't affect playability or sound.

The bass is in Finland, EU. Asking price 1100 euros including insured shipping inside EU. Will ship outside Europe too if buyer pays the extra shipping fees, estimate is around 1600 USD shipped to USA. Any serious offers accepted. Payment via PayPal or bank wire transfer. I'm a PayPal premium member, 100% positive eBay feedback, and other references available in case you're suspicious about the low post count here.

Trades considered, mainly looking for fretted Stingrays/Sabres/Sterlings and '70s analog monosynths - especially different revisions of Arp Odyssey. Not able to do straight trades due to my sucky financial situation, so looking for around 100-400 euros / 200-500 USD in addition to cover the shipping costs et cetera, depending on what you have to offer.

Some pics, the bass will be shipped in the hardcase shown and with the TI Jazz Flats it now has.

Two new pictures, I tried to get one of the back where the scratches would be much more noticeable. In the back you can see the dent in the upper right corner and some scratches - of course, they aren't seen while playing and aren't half as noticeable unless you deliberately try to capture them with spot lights :hiding:

The grey stripe in the front picture isn't a scratch nor a dent, but due to uneven lightning, the front side of the body is in very nice shape cosmetically. The real color of the body is burgundy red that isn't as bland / dark as in the first set of pics, nor as pronounced as in the second... I guess closer to these new photos, but I just seem to have too crappy lighting in my house so that's what you get.

Also, I realize I'm quite new here and mainly been lurking - I'm a Paypal premium verified member, have 100% positive feedback on eBay (what little I've been buying) and if needed, can give you more guarantees that I'm honest and safe to deal with. Thanks!

Can't seem to edit the first post for some reason, but just to clarify: actual asking price is 950 euros plus shipping to wherever you are - shipping cost obviously also depends on whether you want it fast or slow, insured or non-insured, mail or courier company etc.

Still available - this one's been neglected for a few months now, so it needs a new good home!

Seems like I actually have to start moving things due to my financial situation and the fact that I have to move during the summer... So dropping the price to 1000 euros, including insured economy shipping inside EU. Respectful offers considered. As I said, this is the nicest fretless I've played so far, I'm just trying to focus on fretted ones and generally slimming down my home studio.

Guess I might have to repost this at some point since I can't edit the first post with the price anymore...

Still available... I'm moving in the end of July so this would be a good time for any fair offers (cash, or trade in EU)! After that I'll think about relisting & taking new pics if it's still available.

Still available... I thought I'd have sold this by now but that's how things go! If the price seems high, feel free to make an offer. And if you have something cool to trade, whether fretted basses or studio gear (similar value & quality or partial trade), any trade offers are considered!

Here's a link of the current Sovereign page, the new models have somewhat different parts and options but it's the same design underneath: http://esh-bass.com/content/view/14/27/lang,en/
