It's a beautiful bass--I would think it has more to do with the economy and the fact that STRs are relatively new/unknown. But there's no arguing that they are awesome looking instruments.

I own a Fodera and a STR. The STR gets just as much playing time if that tells you anything guys! If only this had one less string I would own it, still considering it.

I've got the box and packing ready-this can be in your hands by the end of the week.

For what it's worth, when I had this bass up at Pete Skjold's a few weeks ago, he was quite impressed with it, and he noted that the action could probably be taken as low as, if not lower than, most Foderas he's played. I'd wager that you can't find a better 6 in this style for the price.

I can post a slap clip if anyone's interested.

Interested... would like to hear the slap clip. Also, do you have any clips with the coil tap engaged (single-coil mode)? Do you know the weight?

I don't own a scale, but I'd guess that the weight is probably around 10.5 pounds, going off what I know about my other basses. I've done several 3-set gigs with it in the last couple months, and with a 3" strap, the weight hasn't been an issue thanks to the strap and the bass' excellent balance.

I think that the clips above were recorded with the bass in single-coil mode, although I'm not sure. I'll record some new ones that are when I do the slap clip-look for them on Friday. I'm insanely busy this week, and I won't get a chance to record anything new until then.

OK, thanks.

I cut a couple tracks with this bass tonight for a studio class, and it absolutely killed through an Avalon U5.

Fantastic bass. Just shocking that no one's buying it. I love the look! Fellow STR owner here too... LS648 as well... =)

All the best. Kinda sad that you have to sell it off...

If it had 17mm string spacing and no frets, it would be staying, but I don't believe in modding basses at this price point. ;)

Thanks for the bump and the well-wishes.
