For Sale: 1965 Fender Precision - $4000.00 + shipping
This bass sounds great and plays incredibly smooth. The bass is pre-CBS and the neck is dated July 65. All parts (body, neck, pots and pick ups) are original. Body and neck have been professionally re-finished. Some frets have been replaced, all frets were reset, the fretboard has been trued and frets have been crowned (Plek'ed) so there are absolutely NO dead spots the entire length of the neck. All the old wiring had to be removed and was replaced with original cloth style wiring just 2 weeks ago. The truss rod was professionally shimmed last year and is fully operational. (Reciepts for truss rod, fretboard work and rewiring will be provided, approx $600.00) The action is low and the bass is silky smooth to the touch. Due to its incredible sound this bass has mainly been used for recording sessions and only occasionally gigged, however when I do take it out, it never fails that someone will say something about the tone. Bass comes with vintage, not original, tweed case.
