Hello bass playing masses...I'm posting this here before the dredded E-B#& site gets the listing.
For sale: 1 each Steinbrger XL-2 bass made in 1984 (according to SteinbergerWorld.com s/n database) at the Newburgh NY facility. S/n= 1903. This rare bass is all original, and in excellent condition for a 25 year old player. Body has some light swirling/scratches present on the black mirror-like finish- but are hardly noticeable and difficult to photograph. The back has a radius scratch caused by the strap mount pivot arm, when rotated in stowed position (this arc like scratch appears to be common to All L2’s). The original pop out bayonette style legrest is included, (one corner has 1/8” chip). The set neck, and Frets are in extremely good shape, and the battery cover is actually present. Everything functions as it should, and no other discrepancies are noted. The original soft case is included- all zippers work; however, the strap has torn off one side at some point, and the previous owner sewed it back on (with red thread?) 1 new set of Steinberger (Labella) Double-ball strings included.
