I just got this off of ster. It is in excellent condition with a few minor dings, (see the headstock picture) and there is some minor scuffing near the input jack that doesn't go through the finish and doesn't show up on camera due to the glossy finish. One single belt-buckle-rash indentation on the back that does not go through the finish either. Otherwise, excellent condition.
This is a light weight, very growly, aggressive, forward-sounding bass. It does a great p-bass approximation and I think that it would absolutely kill with flats on it and/or through a tube amp.
Great bass, especially for the price, but I prefer something with a little more substantial feeling neck. (Going with a JO4 with a p-neck on it.) Pots are scratchiness free, turn smoothly and feel sturdy. This one is made in Indonesia.
Other Features are:
Pickups: 2 G&L vintage Alnico (single coil) jazz type pickups
Body Wood: Alder
Neck wood: Hard rock maple with rosewood fingerboard
Neck Radius: 12"
Neck width at nut: 1 1/2"
Tuning Keys: Custom G&L Ultra-Lite with aluminum tapered string posts
Bridge: G&L Saddle Lock with chrome-plated brass saddles
Controls: Two volume controls, one tone control
Finish: Standard
Chrome hardware
No pickguard
Includes: G&L deluxe gig bag The gig bag has lots of storage and is well padded. It's actually very nice!
I'd like to get what I have into it: $350 shipped to the 48 OBO. New will cost you $599 on MF.
PM me with offers/questions. Thanks!
