I love this thing, but I'm not using a pre/power setup anymore, so it needs to go to someone who's going to play it the way it deserves.

For those who've never heard it, the Purity is one of the sweetest-sounding tube preamps out there. It's a wonderful blend of your tone and a tube pre. It's got a 4-band EQ, as well as Deep and Bright switches (and an EQ bypass for a truly pure sound). My favorite control is the Emphasis knob, which is a variable mid sweep that's just amazing.

It's in great shape, with just minor rack wear. I'm looking for $600 shipped in the lower 48. Please, no trades.

I know, it's crazy... the economy is forcing people to give up some awesome gear. I'd planned on keeping this and a Kern forever, but now, I can't afford to keep gear that I'm not going to be playing through all the time. Sucks for me, but it's great for people looking for seriously good gear on a budget.

These things are so great. Mine's out on swap (for a Kern) for a few months for comparison purposes, and I miss it a lot (even with the Kern here!). The Reads are one of a few pieces of gear I think people should just GRAB when they come up, even if it's just to try it for six months to see what is possible and then make your money right back.

I just got my Read about a month ago and I use it with my Kern, sending two separate signals to the mixer. The Kern picks up where the Read leaves off and vice versa. Total sonic bliss!!

Great preamp.
