I have for sale the legendary Bogdan Polish Hate, or Mephisto.
I just got this off of EBennetts. Very sweet OD pedal, but just not going to work for me.
In excellent condition, no velcro. Very nice PINK colour.
Just asking what I paid, $85 shipped CONUS.

The searches I did really couldn't come up with any solid answers. It is basically just a warm fuzz with a input cap switcher. One way is a bit colder, the other much warmer.

I thought Chronicle referred to it as a "modern day jumbo tonebender" for what that is worth. Cheers!

I could be wrong, but I kinda got the impression from comments, etc. around here that the Hate takes off from where a maxed-out Love ends...or something...

I always thought these were Tube Screamers, but wth do I know.

If it is indeed a Jumbo ToneBender based circuit, it's alot like a Muff, but w/more lows and a touch less gain. JTB = Muff w/o 1st set of clipping diodes for the most part. Sonicvi swears by 'em as killer bassy fuzzes.

I DO know that tiger is a killer seller, packs his gear great, ships FAST, and no longer owns a Devi Bass Fuzz.

I think I made an ooops here...

Jumbo TB = Muff w/o 1st clipping transistor & set of diodes...
Supa TB = Muff w/o 1st clipping diodes.

I apologize for the misinformation. Damn, they made alotta ToneBenders.

Either way it should sound like a deeper voiced muff-ish fuzz. Prolly has better note definition too.

Actually the Tonebender is like a muff without the LAST transitor stage (the one after the second set of clipping diodes), the first set of clipping diodes and cap, and the trannies are usually low hfe - like BC184Cs (same as old green russian muffs)

My statement is qualified by my many muff and JTB builds.
