Bass is sold pending final payment!

My Olympic White RV4 HP/J with VTC is for sale. I hate to sell this bass, but I am playing my 5's just about full time now and I need to sell this to help fund my latest purchase, a UV70 - 5.

This bass is in great shape, with the excepton of a couple of cosmetic issues that were present when I bought it. I have attached a couple of pictures, one ding on the end of the headstock and a couple of very slight dings on the top bout. The pickguard has some fine fingernail scratching consistent with being played. The bass has been played, but I would say it is 8/10th's at least. It sounds great and is extremely versatile with the P/J setup. It came with Dunlop strap locks when I bought it. It is fairly light, weights in at 9.6 lbs. Included in the sale is the Sadowsky light weight case.

I am looking for [DEL]$1,700[/DEL] price reduced to $1,600 or a reasonable offer for the bass, plus shipping to the CONUS, PayPal echeck or USPS money order.

I need to sell this, so sorry, not interested in trades.

Thanks for looking!

if you turn it on to just the P pickup, how close is it to a fender precision? like, slap tone...
I was looking at fenders but they just don't have the quality, what are these like? I've never really seen them

You will get many opinions here, but from my perspective, it sounds very close to a Fender P, but better to me because Roger's pickups are better. The measurements from the bridge to the P pickup is the same as the Fender (I measured it) and if you roll the blend to 100% P, it sounds like a P. I don't slap, so can't comment. The J pickup adds quite a bit of flexibility to this bass, it can cover just about anything you run into.

As far as info about Sadowsky, I am biased, all my main basses are Sadowsky. Here is a link to the Sadowsky Club here on TB, explore and educate yourself!

I have a Metro PJ5. About the perfect bass. I actually have considered picking up a PJ4 but I incorporate the B a fair amount up high on the neck so it isn't a priority.

imho the Sadowsky PJ config is the true "swiss army bass" of tone. I vastly prefer it to the JJ setup, as I find it has more body and kick. Plus you can roll it forward and get a very good pure P tone. If you want, you can put it in passive mode for a bit more warmth. The combination of the VTC and bass/treble boost EQ gives you a lot of room to play.

I have ordered up a NYC PJ5 for a second bass and to drop a little weight. They kick arse...

very nice looking bass! Nobody asked about trades, so I will. But I am guessing you are not interested. I am sure you'll sell it, be patient. This economy is lousy!

Sorry, want to sell this to help fund my latest Sadowsky UV70 5'er, so unfortunately, not interested in any trades. Don't really need to sell it, so I will wait around until somebody that can appreciate this great bass wants it! Thanks!
