Sheldon's work is right up there with the best of the best, making it purely personal pref between a Dingwall and an MTD... especially noting how different they are. In other words, no such thing as one categorically better than the other.

I will say one other thing, IMHO, this is a particularly great wood combo for an MTD.

I would say they are of equal build quality and it comes down to a matter of personal preference. This is my second Dingwall and I have owned 3 MTDs. I am a huge fan of both builders. For myself, the Dingwall slightly wins out for the tone I am going for at this time.

LOL - Vic wins and says it much better than I could :)

+1. The very first MTD I layed hands on was exactly like this. AMAZING tone. So deep and punchy in the lows with musical, slightly brittle highs. KILLER slap bass.

That's one beautiful MTD. I'd be interested to see the Dingwall that's taking it's place. It has to be one knock-out end all gas bass.

For those asking - yes this does come with Mike's new Hygrometer case. This is the best HSC I've come across.
