Ok, I am really confused by your PayPal comment now. I actually just searched the forum and there are tons of threads mentioning PayPal and it does not appear anyone broke a rule. Can you or someone help me out here as to what I did wrong by mentioning PayPal? What is the difference asking for PayPal fees and shipping fees?

Thanks.

Paypal reference:

I think what he means is the rules for using the site state that separate paypal fees, ebay fees etc can not be asked for. you can and should incorporate all fees in your selling price leaving only the shipping quote to be decided depending on where it is being sent.

It is fine to say payments can be made by paypal .... you just can't state extra fees for using it.

I don't know why since I would suppose most would try to factor in all transaction costs anyway ... but the rules of engagement are such that stating it separately is not allowed.

I may be incorrect but that's how I understand it.

Now ............ If I had cash I certainly would be making an offer and I would expect that all extraneous fees (ie. Paypal, Ebay) would be incorporated into the selling price with only the shipping costs remaining to be decided. I have the AG500 and down the road I hope to have the big brother sitting upon my cabinets! :bassist:

Good luck on the sale!

Wow, I had no idea regarding these rules! I still can't find anything that states these rules anywhere, but oh well. I am not out to rip any one off and will certainly make someone a great deal on this amp. It is like new and I have plenty of room for negotiation here. It just sits in my studio covered and I use my 2x10 combo for an occasional gig. I hate to sell the Aguilar, but it is really a waste just sitting there. I know I will kick myself for this eventually.

Anyway, if someone wants it, I am willing to make a great deal. Don't be afraid to make me an offer! Hopefully I didn't break a forum rule by saying that!?? :)

Thanks to you all for help.

No problem. Just by way of explanation, there's nothing wrong with making your price such that you get the amount you want for your amp above and beyond PayPal fees. But asking someone else to pay them is not allowed because I imagine the buyer has no visibility of exactly what the fees are. Depending on the type of Paypal account you have they can vary and it's simpler if the buyer just knows exactly what the price is without any surprises. As for sending money as a gift or money owed, the problem is that the normal PayPal protections don't work for those transactions which is why they are not allowed for TB sales.

Back on topic, the DB750 is a fantastic amp and you're offering it at a good price. Somebody should snatch it up.

The $1350 is negotiable so please feel free to make me an offer! This price will include shipping in the CONUS only. I have a couple extra tubes I will throw in as well. If you buy it this weekend, I will throw in the nice Aggy rack you see in the picture too!! The amp and rack are like new.

Thanks again for looking!
