For sale is a beautiful Peavey Palaedium designed in conjunction with Jeff Berlin. I don't think I could describe it any better than the original owner so I will just quote his original post. The bass is in the same condition as when I received it.
"I recently picked this up and had it completely refurbished and refinished by master luthier Andrew Drake. Unfortunately, some things have come up and I need to let it go.
The bass was refinished in a fantastic matte black finish, which while hard to photograph, looks great in person. The neck had been made fretless, so it was cleaned up and refretted using mandolin fretwire, which makes such an easy to play bass SO much easier.
The hardware was replaced with high-quality black components: Kluson hi-mass bridge, Gotoh/Jackson tuners, Hipshot D-Tuner, black knobs, output jack & plate, Dunlop strap buttons, and a great custom ramp between the pickups.
We also added Luminlay side dots that look like regular dots in the light and shine in the darkness.
The bass plays great with low action and amazing tone from the passive Bartolini-spec pickups.
* Alder body
* Passive quad-coil humbuckers (Bartolini designed)
* 34 in. scale
* Thick Ebony fingerboard
* Maple neck with dual graphite rods
* Neck has a micro tilt mechanism to adjust the tilt of the neck at the heel
* 1.5 nut width
* Master Volume / Blend / Tone
* This bass is extremely comfortable and weighs just 8.1 lbs. on my luggage scale.
These are getting harder and harder to find, and you'll never find another that looks and plays like this one. The neck is extremely comfortable and allows for nice low action. The electronics are dead quiet and has an amazing range of tones from an passive bass and the stealth black finish just looks great.
Will ship in Fender Deluxe hardshell case."
I will accept cash or Paypal Family and Friends. Price is $650 + $110 shipping.
Please PM me with any communication. Thank You!! Larry
