Selling my Dingwall AB1 5 string. This is a fantastic bass suited for all genres of music. It’s not “just for metal” - I’ve used it for Southern rock/Country for 2 years. The absolute only reason I’m selling is that I just don’t play a 5 string much any more and it gets very little attention (I’ve picked it up once in the past 6 months).
-Super light weight 7 lbs, 14 oz ash body with flamed maple top that balances perfectly.
-18mm string spacing, 3 piece maple neck, wenge fingerboard, slim profile.
-Passive, but plenty of room in the control cavity to add a preamp if you want.
-4 way switch selects bridge, bridge and neck in parallel, bridge and neck in series, neck.
-Hipshot detuner installed on B string for drop A
-Road runner hard case included
Get a Canadian Dingwall for the price of a Chinese made model! There are a few imperfections I tried to photograph that look worse in the photos (I had to use a flashlight to really show them). Mostly looking to sell - the only trades I’d entertain are a Spector Euro Wimbish model or a Forte 4 string. $2500 shipped CONUS.
