I had this on the market two years ago, but then pulled. It’s not been played during this time so it’s time to put it back on and sell it.

This 2006 Dingwall barely been played and is in near mint condition. No flaws or dings at all that I could find. Black basses are a little challenging to photograph sometime as they are so shiny, but rest assured, anything that looks amiss is just glare.

The multi scale fanned frets, make for an incredibly easy and comfortable bass to play.

It can be run in active or passive modes, and there’s a ton of very usable and musical tones to be had. I posted links to a couple videos - one demoing the bass and the other, just showing the cosmetics. Check them out along with the photos and let me know if you have any questions. This weighs a comfy 8.5 pounds and comes with a nice SKB Freedom HSC.

The preamp is an Aguilar OBP-1:

This Super J is from 2006. I know this, because my own Super J is also from 2006 (Tee hee!)
By the way, any potential buyers should be aware that the batteries are underneath the pickguard, but they last a long time, so who cares? Especially because, as the OP states, the bass runs in passive mode as well.

Super J base price is currently $3465 with 2 pickups, and $3735 with 3. Super P is $3160.
That's passive with zero options, and the prices are about to go up, I'm told.
This bass is, of course, active - that would cost more. Glockenklang, the cheaper of the 2 preamp options, is $445.

I justify going into minor debt for a bass by telling myself I'm just renting it for whatever the interest costs.

Sweet bass, Tim! Nice demo. Still regret not buying that Rick Turner short scale you had for sale earlier this year. Haven’t found a cool acoustic tone to match the demo you did on that bass.
