Hi TB, thanks for looking. Up for sale is my beloved custom Fbass VF5. Flamed Ash Body, Maple Neck and FB w/ash block markers, 34" scale, 9.5 lbs in MAGNIFICENT condition. This bass does NOT have the Aguilar pups that the new VF series now come equipped with. It has the older FBass single coils which IMO is pretty amazing. Bass sounds terrific active or passive. In fact, I took out the battery 6 months ago and have been running it passive ever since. Can cop that 70's jbass tone but for an ash/maple combo it is definitely on the phat/warm side. Perhaps it's because I have chromes flats on em... I am the 2nd owner of this bass and when I got it a little over a year ago it was in MINT condition. I hesitate to call it mint because I have gigged it exclusively all year but trust me, bass is 99% in the same condition as when I got it from Dan at the Luthiers Access Group. Selling it because my balance
on a custom order I have arriving in August is almost due and just got done paying our TAXE$! I'm a one "boutique" bass guy and can't afford to keep it. My time with it was awesome but the custom I spec'd out coming I believe would serve my playing & tone goals much better.
