For sale FDeck/HPF Technologies HPF-Pre Series 3

What other kind of HPF's are there? Different slope rates? Different form factor or user interface? More onboard features than the HPF and maybe a phase invert switch? More gain, or a tube maybe?

Well, you can do your own research there on various HPFs out there. This has a phase switch (clearly seen). I don't need the pre functionality and it kinda clashed with the pre I am using. It sounds fine, just not a match for my setup.

Phase switch and HPF are the most powerful, go-to first, tools of any signal chain for sure. The fdeck HPF nails that function.

I have the fdeck HPF series 1 velcro'd to the inside of my tailpiece, and it's always on the gig. After that I can go to any preamp, DI box, or stage amp that I want. I love the way the output jack activates the battery, and I find the battery lasts a long time too, especially if you unplug your cord from it on set breaks. I set the gain knob up the middle and occasionally reach down to boost the level for my solos.

I'm sure you will sell this box soon! Most are selling in just a few days here on TB.

The series 1 doesn't have a gain knob, so it must be a series 2 or 3.

Right! Thanks for pointing out that mistake. Mine is the early series 2 with black plastic case, thus I confused it with series 1 because of the same black plastic case.

fdeck upgraded the series 2 with a blue metal box and called it "2M". As of Dec/2019 the original (black plastic case) series 2 has been discontinued according to fdeck hpftechllc - HPF-Pre, updated December 15, 2019

A good way to distinguish the series 1, is that it has only "one" knob for the HPF.
