This bass is a US G&L SB-1 that somebody stripped, refinned, and routed for a J pickup.
They crafted a fretless neck that fit the 3-bolt G&L pocket, and mated it to the body. The pocket does not seem to be altered.
Apparently, they only had 3 of the original tuners from the old G&L neck, so there's one that doesn't match.
Pickups are DiMarzio. It's wired V/V.
It's a cool bass as it stands, but I had plans to install a DarkStar or something. Instead, I found a better platform for that project so I'm going to release this back into the wild.

I'm going to be brutally honest: This is a beater. It plays well enough, but if you're looking for a sublime fretless experience, please go elsewhere. If you're looking to get a cheap fretless for less than the cost of the parts, and are willing to do some tweaking to make it shine, this might be for you. Also, if you want to buy it and part it out, this might be a good candidate. I don't have time for that right now so if you want to grab it and make a profit, have at it.
