Got this recently on a trade - it’s FANTASTIC but a bit redundant to some of the other basses i owns so I thought I’d post this as a feeler- has a tick of heal kick but has very low action and plays without buzz all the way up and down the neck- really a nice bass

Love these basses, are the necks more like a jazz or P bass?

Bump! I have a 83 El Toro, found it while searching for an early L2000 (like what the OP would trade for). 1 5/8" nut on mine.
These are killer are relatively rare basses, folks, it's like equal parts Jazz bass and L2000. Many a G&L fan wish these would be reissued.

Would be nice to see these and the Invader basses reissued. Really like the Kilo basses but haven't had a chance to play one yet.

That's a real beauty! Don't see too many El Toro's for sale. I'm not all that familiar with them, but damn that's a great sounding bass!

Johnny Lee Long seems to be a very cool Character AND a smoking bass player!!! Why isn't he playing with a top name band??? (maybe he is) I can't believe he got rid of this bass, he seems so in love with it. Hmmm. ANYWAY, This bass would spit me out after having been played by Johnny Lee! Sheeze.
