It looks like a Guild Special Run (GSR) M-85 II, a U.S.-made reissue. I think only about 25 or 30 of these were made in 2013-14. This is beautiful, and I wish I had the flash to buy it!

Thanks, and yes, you nailed it. I also believe these versions are the only combo of bisonics and fully hollow body. Original models back in the 60s/70s were I believe bisonics and solid body or humbuckers and hollow body.

I believe the first generation of the M-85 I and II were semi hollow w/ Bi Sonics. Around 70 or 71 they went to a solid mahogony body and replaced the bi sonics with HB's. I used to own a '73 and thought it sounded amazing but then there were the die hard BiSonic folks that kind of turned there nose up at the HB's, personally I have had both and liked both, they are just a bit different tone wise but either one will hold there own.

I dont imagine they made many of these reissues like this either, wish I had the scratch to grab this one but I'm sure someone will.

Actually I think the total number was 25 made but only approximately 13 are in existence due to supply issues with the bisonics and some sustaining headstock breaks in shipping due to faulty cases. Where in Florida are you?

I'm in Jupiter

This one is really tempting me especially since I don't even need you to ship it. (I'm in hobe sound).

I used to own one of these, and there weren't more that 12 or possibly 13 of these made. This one isn't my old one (it's in Maryland last I knew), but the serial number tells me that it was likely the last, or one of the last ones made. They're terrific, and super light; mine was 6.2 pounds!

I would have kept it, but I'm more of a Starfire guy.

That's just beautiful! And I wasn't aware that Guild had ever reissued this bass.

I've been hoping to get one for a while, but now is just not the right time. GLWTS!

Hollowbody and single coil pickups on these US reissues, which makes it more like the original 60's M-85 basses (though the body is not quite as deep on these newer ones).
Sheryl has a couple of 70's models which were relatively heavy solid bodies and they got the high output chrome-covered humbuckers. So there are probably more differences than similarities in terms of tone.
