I know this is a long shot, but here is what I am looking for...
I am seeking an Ibanez SR 5 string neck, preferably scrap (finish a mess, bowed, busted or non-functioning truss rod, etc...) I recently got an Ibanez SR1350 body that I think is pretty cool, and I want to find a neck to marry to it. Ideally, I would like to find an SR neck with the exposed wood on the top of the heal, but this isn't a deal breaker. Why a scrap neck? I am going to pretty much rebuild it including removing the fingerboard, adding wood to each side so it will accommodate a 19mm spaced bridge, install a new truss rod (if needed), carbon fiber rods, fingerboard and frets. Why do I want to do all of this? To me, this is fun, and yes, I have done this to a few necks already. I hope to end up with a bass that I will dig visually and have fun playing.
