A wonderful bass through and through.
Versatile, light weight, great balance, superb neck.
This neck... So comfy.
EQ is powerful, yet still retains the bass' inherent clarity.

Aside from a small scrape on the top of the headstock, this thing is CLEAN.
Just a couple small indents that are hard to photograph.

@Keith Guitars tends to use mandolin frets, IIRC. I'm a huge fan of Martin's basses, with a collection of five. This one is a beauty! GLWTS.

Hi all,

These frets are my standard .043" x .080", comparable to vintage Martin guitar wire. Not tiny like mando frets - more like a 'medium'.
I prefer small frets for their intonation accuracy, and also because they contribute less a metallic character to the overall sound.
These are the "EVO" gold fret material, which is harder than regular nickel-silver, though not as hard as stainless.

This instrument also has a hand-rubbed oil finish, which is relatively unusual (I more commonly use sprayed finishes).

I remember this bass well and hope it finds a happy home!

It's still the original nut. The zero fret eliminates the need to swap nuts.
I've had it with a B for a bit and it took to it no problem.

Oh man, I have no idea about the comparison.

The body, at it's longest and widest parts, is about 12.5" wide and 18" long.

Comparison to my Clement. I have no Fender or Ibanez for comparison.
