To use this neck, one should remove the soft material and replace it with something harder (or refret it). This neck has a heel width of ~2.4 inches, slightly less than a standard Fender neck. Gibson G3 "Grabber 3" neck. Shows much wear. Could use a refret, which is okay because the real issue is that the truss rod needs replacement. A luthier suggested removing the fretboard, replacing the truss rod, replacing the fretboard and installing new frets. Oooof. $25. plus shipping. SOLD
