This was a project I did for fun. It started out as an older Squier neck with a really nice rosewood fingerboard. I pulled the frets and nut and re-radiused the board to 7 ¼. I refretted it with Stewmac 0148 medium fretwire for a more vintage feel. I lightly rolled the fret edges The frets and board were buffed out. The headstock was a little rough and discolored and had some extra tuner holes, so I plugged them and refinished the front and back in Tru Oil. Lastly I cut a new bone nut and buffed it out.
I have photo documented all work and can share with potential buyers.
Note:
When truing the fretboard sides for refretting I lost about .015” so the nut width is at 1.610. The string slots in the nut are not quite cut to depth to allow for final setup when fully assembled.
