Sadowsky Metrolines were created by famed Japanese luthier Yoshi Kikuchi, who was personally trained by Roger Sadowsky for over a year in New York City. Yoshi created the Metroline prior to the recent deal Roger Sadowsky has made with Warwick in Germany this past year.
This bass is in mint condition and has never been gigged or played out. Weight is 8.9 pounds. It sports a transparent cream finish with awesome woodgrain that peeks through. The fretwork is as perfect as any American Sadowsky; the action is low with no buzz. It comes loaded with the same Sadowsky noiseless J/J pups that are used in the NYC line, as well as the classic Sadowsky preamp with the passive tone control (VTC), with the push/pull pot to switch between active/passive. Because of Yoshi's reputation and the Warwick business deal, Japanese Metrolines are now in very high demand and are the next best thing to a Sadowsky NYC model. The bass comes with the original, new Sadowsky ultralite foam hardshell case.
